Specific Actions

The One Hour A Month Search Engine Marketing Program starts with creating an realistic, achievable plan. You and your Identry consultant will have a phone meeting to discuss:

  • Choosing the initial strategy: which specialities will you focus on? What work can you do yourself? Which will you need help with?
  • Targeting search engines: which search engines will you target first? Just US search engines, or does you want to reach collectors in other countries? Which ones?
  • Choosing keywords: what are your 5 most important keywords? If more than one country is targeted, are the keywords different in different countries?
  • Baselining your website: measure how your website is doing for those 5 keywords before optimization, so that improvements can be measured.
  • Making sure your website is being indexed by search engines: install software on the website that measures how often your website is being 'scanned' by search engines. A website must be indexed to use search engine marketing.

Your Identry consultant will then draw up a checklist of initial changes that you and/or your webmaster will make to your website, including recommended backlinks from other websites.

We will then begin the Once A Month Optimization Cycle:

ADUST

  • Optimize content: You and/or your webmaster will adjust the content of your web pages according to the checklist, including title tags, item descriptions, and other important content.
     
  • Optimize technology: You and/or your webmaster will adjust the website technology to make it easier for search engine spiders to crawl the website.

    Optionally, Identry can help make these changes, call to discuss.

MEASURE

  • Measure results: Identry will measure changes in Search Engine Marketing Performance. Measurements include:
    • how does your website rank for the target keywords on the target search engines? Is your ranking increasing or decreasing?
    • how many backlinks from other websites do you have? What keywords do the backlink text use? What are the rankings of the referring websites?
    • how many visitors have actually been attracted from search engines?
    • how many sales can be directly attributed to visitors attracted from search engines?

REPORT

  • Generate Executive Reports: Identry will generate easy to understand reports that make it possible for even non-technical dealers to understand how previous adjustments have helped (or hurt) search engine results, so that the dealer knows what's working and what's not. This keeps you in control of the program.

ANALYZE

  • Analyze results & make recommendations: based on the actual results measured and reported, your Identry consultant will:
    • help you choose the next set of targeted keywords
    • create a new checklist of specific recommended changes that you will implement in the next cycle.
This Once A Month Optimization Cycle is repeated until the results you want are achieved.

Schedule

Approximately 1 Hour Per Month.
